What is involved in the remortgaging process?
When you remortgage a property, we still need to investigate the title deeds as much as when you buy a property. You will need a solicitor or conveyancer to check the title deeds and conduct a property valuation. Your lender might also have other too.
During the remortgaging process, most lenders accept search indemnity policies and these reduce the costs and the time massively for the searches. Full property searches typically cost around £250 but a search indemnity policy can be done for around £30 but this depends on the value or the property and the requirements of the lender.
